The purpose of AMTA is to promote and participate in the educational growth and development in music
and to provide opportunities for more student participation in music.
AMTA member categories are Active, Associate,
Collegiate, Honorary, Apprentice.
AMTA member benefits include networking, teacher
workshops, mentoring, monthly programs, professional
development and presentations, in addition to state and
national benefits and opportunities.

AMTA student activities include state and national
activities as well as local recitals, festivals and
competitions, and community performances.
AMTA annually gives students monetary assistance through senior participation awards and summer camp scholarships.
